A 14-month-old girl nearly drowned Saturday in a Phoenix pool after adults nearby "looked away for a second," a fire official said.

The toddler, Jackie Cheyenne Womble, was sitting on the steps of the pool in the 3200 block of West Eugie in Phoenix. Three adults and two other children were in the pool. Battalion Fire Chief Charles Hood said the adults said they looked away, then found the girl floating in the pool with no pulse. Her 11-year-old brother pulled her out and administered CPR.

The girl was listed in good condition Saturday.
