A 3-year-old boy was in fair condition Thursday night after nearly drowning in a community pool in the 4400 block of West Julie Drive in Phoenix.
Phoenix Fire Capt. Chris Ketterer said Hunter Leatherwood was at the pool with his parents and another adult Thursday afternoon. The adults apparently lost sight of the boy for a couple of minutes before they found him floating in the pool. His father pulled him out and CPR was performed before the boy was taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital, Ketterer said. condition.
