A 6-year-old boy nearly drowned at home Sunday, despite being supervised and being in a fenced-in swimming pool.
Niki Kristoff was breathing when firefighters arrived at 6035 N. Fifth Place and was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He was listed in stable condition. Niki's parents were nearby, and three other children were in the pool at the time.
