Nearly 20,000 Americans die in home accidents every year, and many of them are children. Drowning in backyard pools is a major concern for young children, but driveways also can be a deadly place. As new products find their way into our homes, emergency rooms are reporting new risks to small children.
Safety experts have developed information to help parents spot possible hazards and systems to keep their children safe. One Phoenix mom is mounting a personal campaign to raise awareness after the accidental death of her own child.
