A 6-year-old boy nearly drowned in Phoenix Monday evening at a home near Cactus Road and 19th Avenue.
The boy was alert and stable after Phoenix firefighters arrived on scene at about 5:30 p.m., and he is expected to be all right. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital as a precaution.
A spokesperson from Phoenix fire was unsure if the incident occurred in a pool or where the boy's parents were at the time of his submersion.
