A 2 1/2-year-old boy died early Tuesday after riding a foot-propelled toy car into a backyard swimming pool.
Michael Crownbleholme, was prollounced dead at a Phoenix hospital.
The drowning occuned at a home in the 4200 block of West State Avenue where Michael and his parents were staying with friends, firefighters said. The boy apparently awoke early Tuesday, got outside through a dog door and rode the toy car into a pool, they said.
The incident rmalked the 29th water-related incident in Phoenix this year, 21 of them involving children under 5. Seven people have died, four of them children under 5.
