A Scottsdale toddler is conscious after nearly drowning in a backyard pond Saturday evening.
An 18-month old girl was found in the water by her 16-year old brother, near the 11200 block of N.75th street at around 5:15 p.m., according to the Scottsdale Fire Department.
The child was alert, but vomiting when rescue workers arrived to the scene.
Paramedics then took the girl to Scottsdale Healthcare, Shea. Officials have not yet released details about the circumstances leading up to the incident.
