Boy, 9, drowns while swimming at Roosevelt Lake

PAYSON, AZ (CBS5) –

A 9-year-old boy drowned while swimming with his family at Roosevelt Lake on Sunday afternoon.

The boy was swimming near Vineyard Day Park when he disappeared under the water about 1:15 p.m., according to a Gila County Sheriff’s Office news release.
