Just after noon, deputies with the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office were called to Lake Powell, within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, for a boating accident.

PHOENIX — A child found unresponsive in a pool at a Phoenix apartment complex has died.
On June 19, a bystander observed a 3-year-old child in a pool located near 10th Avenue and Colter Street and jumped in to pull the boy out. Firefighters rushed the child to a hospital and described his condition as being “extremely critical.”
The child had remained hospitalized in the days following the incident, according to police.
A few weeks later, Phoenix police said the child has died and the medical examiner ruled the boy’s death to be the result of “complications of a drowning.”
Police said no arrests have been made in the case and no charges are being submitted.
MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ — The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has located the body of a 20-year-old man who was reported missing at Lake Pleasant on Monday.
MCSO says they were called to the lake just before 6:45 p.m. for a person last known to be floating in the water, who was missing and had not been seen for about 10 minutes.
