Body of missing swimmer recovered near Devil’s Elbow at Salt River

SALT RIVER, AZ (AZFamily) — A search for a missing swimmer has come to an end after his body was recovered at the Salt River on Sunday morning.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the man was attempting to cross the Salt River near Devil’s Elbow around 8 a.m. Devils’ Elbow is described as a sharp bend just past the Blue Point Bridge. He was last seen wearing jeans and a t-shirt
