BUCKEYE, AZ — Three children have been taken to a hospital after being pulled from a backyard swimming pool at a Buckeye home.

Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, emergency crews were called to a home on Hess Avenue, near Interstate 10 and Miller Road, for reports of a drowning.

Officials with the Buckeye Fire Department say three children have been taken to Phoenix Children’s hospital.

Two of the children, a 2-year-old and 3-year-old, were airlifted in critical condition

On Memorial Day weekend,18-year-old Carley Bove’s life changed forever because she nearly lost it.

She had lost her footing while tubing down the Salt River.

“I decided to kind of get out of my tube and pull everyone to the side,” Bove said.

It was too much. She went under the water and was unconscious.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — A 13-year-old boy drowned in a waterfall in Rio Rico Thursday night.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff David Hathaway says it started when multiple 911 calls reported two teens in the water in Josephine Canyon in Rio Rico. The Santa Cruz County Search and Rescue unit scoured the area on the ground while Davis-Monthan Air Force Base used a helicopter to hoist up the 17-year-old to safety.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Police are investigating after a body was found in a canal in Scottsdale Monday morning.

Officials say the body was located near Scottsdale and Camelback roads.

On Wednesday morning, police identified the body as that of 23-year-old Robert Anthony Cuillo.

Cuillo was reported missing from the area Saturday. Wasted Grain Scottsdale said Sunday that Cuillo was last seen at their business and they were cooperating with the investigation.
