PEORIA, Ariz. – A two-year-old who was pulled out of a pool in Peoria has died, according to Peoria Police.
Crews with the Peoria Fire Department responded to a possible drowning call at approximately 10:20 a.m., at a home on the 8400 block of West Bloomfield Road.
The child was in the water for an unknown amount of time, and he was transported to an area hospital.
“It’s unbelievable,” said neighbor Margarita Galan. “It’s scary. It can happen to anybody.”

MESA, AZ – Officials are investigating a near-drowning involving a child at a Mesa home. Emergency crews were called to a home near McKellips Road and Val Vista Drive after noon on Monday.
Mesa fire officials say a 5-year-old boy was found at the bottom of a pool. A family member performed CPR on the child before officials arrived.
The child is said to be breathing on his own but is in critical condition.

MESA, AZ – A man in his thirties has died after a tubing incident on the Salt River on Sunday afternoon, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say around 3:30 p.m. the man was tubing with friends when he broke away from the group and tried to retrieve a tube that floated away near the Blue Point Bridge.

Police say a 4-year-old boy who drowned in Peoria apparently used a chair to open the gate to the fenced-in pool.
The boy, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at a hospital Monday morning.
A preliminary investigation showed the boy appeared to have used a chair to open a door into the backyard before using another chair to access the pool before 8 a.m.

GILBERT, AZ – A 3-year-old boy has died after he was found in a Gilbert pool.
The incident happened at a home near McQueen and Elliot roads around 5:30 p.m. on May 23.
According to Gilbert Fire and Rescue, the boy’s mother found the child in the pool.
Firefighters say the child was not breathing and did not have a pulse when they arrived.
Police said the boy was transported to the hospital and died on Monday.
