 – A two-year-old who was pulled out of a pool in Peoria has died, according to Peoria Police.

Crews with the Peoria Fire Department responded to a possible drowning call at approximately 10:20 a.m., at a home on the 8400 block of West Bloomfield Road.


 


The child was in the water for an unknown amount of time, and he was transported to an area hospital.

“It’s unbelievable,” said neighbor Margarita Galan. “It’s scary. It can happen to anybody.”

MESA, AZ – Officials are investigating a near-drowning involving a child at a Mesa home. Emergency crews were called to a home near McKellips Road and Val Vista Drive after noon on Monday.

Mesa fire officials say a 5-year-old boy was found at the bottom of a pool. A family member performed CPR on the child before officials arrived.

The child is said to be breathing on his own but is in critical condition.
