AVONDALE, AZ – A young boy is dead after drowning in an Avondale pool.

Avondale police were called to a home in the 2200 block of 105th Avenue on Saturday after 6-year-old Raul Ramirez Jr. was pulled from a pool.

According to a police spokesperson, there were multiple adults and kids around for a party at the time of the incident.

A person noticed Ramirez Jr. in the pool and immediately pulled him out, officials said. Family members began performing CPR but he was taken to a hospital where he later died.

TUCSON (KVOA) — A 2-year-old child has died after drowning in her family pool on the northwest side Wednesday night.

According to Northwest Fire, the child’s mother called 911 at around 7:00 p.m. to report her daughter wasn’t breathing.

When firefighters arrived to the home in the 4100 Block of West Sugarcane Street, near Cortaro Farms and Thornydale Roads, they learned the child was found floating in the backyard swimming pool. Firefighters then took over CPR from the child’s mother.

The girl was then rushed to the hospital, but she died a short time later.

SAGUARO LAKE, AZ – Authorities have recovered a young man’s body after a jet ski crash at Saguaro Lake on Saturday.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received reports that a 21-year-old jet ski rider was hit by a fishing boat, officials said. The man was thrown from the jet ski and hadn’t been seen since.

Kelly Slade spoke to ABC15 about her son’s disappearance. She explained that family members set up camp at a nearby fishing dock and wouldn’t leave until the victim, Josh Slade, was found.

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -A woman passing by a pool jumped in to save a 7-year-old autistic girl from drowning in Apache Junction on Sunday.

Zarah Ajmi was riding her bicycle when she saw the girl in a nightshirt scaling the 7-foot-tall pool fence around 8:30 a.m. near Superstition Boulevard and Idaho Road in Apache Junction. “I have three kids so I know how kids act in water.

I just knew I needed to go check and see. I had a feeling, go make sure she knows how to swim,” Ajmi said.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Scottsdale officials say a toddler was taken to the hospital after a near-drowning in a backyard pool on Tuesday morning.

According to Scottsdale Fire, a 2-year-old girl was found face down in a pool near Hayden and Indian Bend roads. It’s unknown how long she had been in the water.

The girl was taken to the hospital and was said to have been conscious, breathing and crying after the incident.

SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ – A San Tan Valley boy is named an “honorary firefighter” for his incredible actions after rescuing his mom who had blacked out in the bathtub.

Five-year-old Salvatore Cicalese was in bed when he heard his mother fall. Sal grabbed his two-month-old baby sister, wrapped her in a blanket and took her to the living room.

Then he grabbed a bar stool and went out into the garage, stood on the stool to open the garage door, went back in the house to get his baby sister and carried her to their neighbor’s home.

GILBERT, AZ – The Gilbert Fire Department says a two-year-old is in extremely critical condition after a drowning call Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened near Elliot and Lindsay roads around 4 p.m.

Firefighters said the young boy was found floating in the backyard pool by his mother. She started performing CPR until first responders were able to take over.

The child has been taken to the hospital.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -A drowning in Tucson claims the life of a woman from China.

According to Tucson Police reports the KOLD News 13 Crime Team obtained on Monday, the woman was found unconscious at the bottom of the pool at the DoubleTree Hotel on Alvernon near Broadway, around 9:30 p.m. on March 18.

Bystanders pulled the woman from the pool and performed CPR until the medics arrived. She was rushed to Banner UMC but sadly she died the following day.

Body of possible drowning victim recovered from Canyon LakeBody of possible drowning victim recovered from Canyon Lake.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says a possible drowning victim’s body was recovered hours after he began yelling for help and went under water while swimming in Canyon Lake on the Salt River east of the Phoenix area.

The Sheriff’s Office said 28-year-old Tyron Turner of Apache Junction was recovered Sunday night about six hours after he was last seen.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Scottsdale paramedics took a 6-year-old boy to a hospital after the child was pulled from an apartment complex pool on Saturday. Officials were called out to original reports of a drowning just before 11 a.m. near Thompson Peak Parkway and Scottsdale Road.

According to officials, the boy was swimming in the pool and at some point became unconscious underwater. Authorities say the child was pulled from the water and CPR was initiated.

According to the Scottsdale Police Department, the child was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable, condition.

Police said the incident appeared to be a tragic accident and no criminal charges are anticipated.
