TEMPE, AZ – Tempe officials transported 2-year-old twins after they were found in a hot tub Sunday before noon.

According to the Tempe Fire Department, officers and paramedics provided first aid to the children who were found in a hot tub in the backyard near Warner Road and Priest Drive.

The two were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Fire officials say the two children, one boy and one girl, somehow made their way outside while parents were home.

Firefighters don’t know how long the two children were in the hot tub before crews were called.

Fire officials said there was no barrier surrounding the hot tub.

PARADISE VALLEY, AZ – Firefighters say a man found at the bottom of a pool Sunday afternoon has died at the hospital.

Units from Phoenix and Scottsdale responded to a home near 68th Street and McDonald around 4:30 p.m. for a report of a 30-year-old man who entered the water.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A Phoenix Fire Department spokesman said bystanders reported alcohol was involved, but officials said they would wait for the toxicology report before making a determination on whether it played a factor in his death.

The Paradise Valley Police Department is handling the investigation into the man’s death.

MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ – Authorities say one person has drowned while out on the Salt River Saturday

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of 28-year-old Kolawole Emmanuel Tanimojo of Chandler.

People called 911 after seeing a man struggling in the water at Gold Tree, near Fox Trail, and called 911. They pulled Tanimojo out of the water after he was reportedly underwater for 4-5 minutes, MCSO said.

Those who pulled him out started CPR until deputies arrived.

Efforts to save the man’s life continued, but he was pronounced dead just before 5 p.m.

Three near drownings of 3-year-old children kept police and firefighters busy across the Valley Sunday evening. The first incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in Chandler, when a 3-year-old girl was caught underwater beneath a pool flotation item for nearly a minute before being pulled out by family members, authorities said.

The girl was blue when she was removed from the pool near Alma School and Chandler Heights roads, Chandler fire officials said. Fire officials said the girl was conscious and was taken to Cardon Children’s hospital for further examination.

Thirty minutes later in Ahwatukee Foothills, a 3-year-old boy was underwater for nearly a minute before being pulled out, Phoenix fire officials said. The boy was conscious and breathing, officials said. Fire crews remained at the scene near 48th Street and Ray Road to examine the child, but he was not transported to a hospital, officials said.

About a half-hour later, firefighters were called to a third incident, this time in w est Phoenix, to a home near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road, where a 3-year-old boy had nearly drowned. The boy was underwater for an unknown amount of time, according to Phoenix fire officials. He was taken to a hospital, and fire officials said he was in stable condition.

AVONDALE, AZ – A 2-year-old boy has passed away after being pulled from a backyard pool on Friday night , according to Avondale police.

Rescue crews were called to the scene over the weekend near Buckeye Road and MC 85 around 7:30 p.m.

A GoFundMe account was shared with ABC15 that identifies the boy as Noah James Esquivel . Officials say the boy and his family were visiting the home for a birthday party.

At one point during the evening, the mother of the boy lost track of the 2-year-old and went searching and found him at the bottom of the pool.

The mother and grandfather pulled the child from the pool and performed CPR.

SURPRISE, AZ – Officials are investigating a drowning involving a toddler in Surprise.

The incident happened at a home near Reems Road and Peoria Avenue around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Surprise police and fire officials said a 2-year-old boy was found in the family’s backyard pool. On-scene reports say a family member performed CPR and called 911.

The child was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition, but police said he later died.

According to Air15 over the scene, the pool was not behind a fence.

PHOENIX – The importance of watching children around water hit home Sunday for families across the Valley. Fire departments responded to at least four near-drowning or submersion calls involving young children.

Firefighters in Glendale responded to a home near Union Hills Drive and 75th Avenue after a report of a 2-year-old being found in a pool. Authorities said the child was out and breathing, classifying the incident as a submersion.

The child was taken to the hospital as a precaution.Phoenix firefighters responded after a 3-year-old boy was found at the bottom of a pool near Greenway and Tatum. The child was found unconscious but was able to be revived and was responding appropriately, officials said.

Gilbert Fire Rescue crews were called to near Recker and Ray roads Sunday afternoon after a 3-year-old was pulled from a community pool. The child’s father performed CPR and was breathing. Officials said the child was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Mesa firefighters were dispatched to a home near Dobson and Broadway after family called 911 when a 3-year-old suffered a near-drowning episode. The child was pulled out of the water before crews arrived, but was having some difficulty breathing. The child was taken to the hospital.

As the Valley of the Sun continues to see triple-digit temperatures water holes of varying degrees — from public and private pools to natural bodies of water — folks are looking for every opportunity of reprieve from the blistering heat.

But the summertime respite sought by thousands in the Phoenix metropolitan area does not come free of danger as there have been 29 drowning deaths resulting from 83 water-related incidents so far this year.

Bodies of water within portions of the Sonoran Desert millions call home has claimed eight infants, one teenager and 20 adults as of Wednesday, July 20, according to the Children’s Safety Zone.

PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) -A 15-year-old boy was in critical condition after he was pulled from a pool at a Phoenix hotel Tuesday morning.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Aaron Ernsberger said the boy, who had been swimming in the pool at Embassy Suites at 2333 E. Thomas Rd. apparently suffered a seizure and went under briefly.

The family performed CPR until medical help arrived.

When firefighters arrived, the boy was breathing.The teen was rushed to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
