TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -A toddler drowned on Tucson’s east side Saturday, according to city police.
It is the third water incident involving a child in only 10 days.
On Feb. 27, an 18-month-old boy drowned in the 10400 block of North Flintlock Trail. A homicide unit from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating that incident.
On Feb. 25, a 1-year-old nearly drowned in the 9000 block of Muleshoe Street.Capt.
Barrett Baker, a spokesman for the Tucson Fire Department, said the latest incident involved a 2-year-old girl. Baker said the child was found in a swimming pool at a home in the 8000 block of East Kenyon Drive.
PEORIA, AZ – According to the Peoria Fire Department, a toddler was found unresponsive after calls of a drowning on Sunday afternoon.
The 4-year-old boy was pulled out of the pool, and then an off-duty Phoenix police officer performed CPR on the child until paramedics arrived. The child was later pronounced dead at Thunderbird Hospital.

GLENDALE, AZ – A Glendale toddler is in critical condition after falling into a backyard pool, Thursday.
Fire officials say it happened at a home near 51st Avenue and Thunderbird around 12 p.m.
A frantic mother found her child in the pool. The child wasn’t breathing and had no pulse.

PHOENIX – A 9-month-old boy was pronounced dead Saturday after being found face-down in a bucket of water at an apartment complex, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Officials said they were called out to a complex near Bethany Home Road right off of Interstate 17 right before 7 p.m.
The infant had no pulse and was not breathing.

The body of a 30-year-old man was recovered from the Salt River Sunday evening after divers were called out to a drowning call.
Lafonzo Yazzie was at a family picnic near the Blue Point Bridge when he decided to swim across the river, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say 2-year-old twin boys are dead after being found unresponsive in a suburban Phoenix home, and the children’s 22-year-old mother was arrested, who also tried to drown a third child at the home. Avondale police spokesman Brandon Busse says officers were called to a home near 115th Avenue and Yuma Street shortly before noon about reports of an ill person.

A 19-month-old is in critical condition after a near-drowning in Tempe Saturday morning.
According to Tempe Fire Medical Rescue, the toddler was found in the pool by a family member at a home near Hardy and Baseline around 8:40 a.m.

PHOENIX – A 35-year-old man has been rushed to the hospital after an incident at a North Phoenix bachelor party.
Police and fire officials say a group of friends were partying at a home near 47th Street and Greenway when they suddenly heard splashing sounds coming from the pool.
Firefighters say that while the man was found unresponsive in the pool, but they’re still trying to determine if his injuries came from nearly drowning or from how he entered the water.

CAMP VERDE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say an 8-year-old boy who was being carried by a relative in a central Arizona river drowned Saturday.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office says the drowning occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the Verde River at a recreation area, southeast of Camp Verde.
The victim’s uncle told deputies he was carrying the boy on his shoulders while crossing the river. He stepped in a deep hole, and they went underwater.
MESA, AZ – A body was found in a lake in Mesa on Tuesday morning.
Mesa fire received a call about a body floating in a lake behind a residence near Dobson and Baseline Roads.
Crews arrived on the scene at 7:00 a.m. and found the body floating in the lake.
Police said the body is a 20 to 35 year man. It is unclear how to man ended up in the lake. The man has not been identified.
Officials believe the body may have been in the lake for several days.
