GOODYEAR, AZ (AZFamily) — A 1-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a backyard pool in Goodyear.
Avondale fire crews responded to the scene near Dysart Road and Van Buren Street for reports of a drowning. When they arrived, they pulled the boy out of the pool and transported him to the hospital, where he later died.
