Peoria PD: 4-year-old boy dies after being pulled from pool – ABC15 Arizona

PEORIA, AZ – Peoria police say a child is dead after being pulled from a Valley pool Friday night.

Peoria fire crews responded to a home near 107th and Olive avenues around 6:30 p.m.A fire department spokesperson said the 4-year-old boy was pulled from a backyard pool and wasn’t breathing.

According to officials, a neighbor heard the mother’s cries for help when the child was discovered and rushed over to help. That neighbor performed CPR until firefighters arrived.

CPR and other life-saving measures continued in the ambulance all the way to the hospital, firefighters said. The child has since passed away as a result of the incident.
