STRAWBERRY, AZ (AZFamily) — A 25-year-old man died Sunday after drowning beneath a waterfall in the Fossil Creek Wilderness in central Arizona.
Just before noon, deputies were dispatched to a reported drowning at the Fossil Creek Lower Waterfalls, according to the Gila County Sheriff’s Office. They responded alongside Tonto Rim Search and Rescue and Pine-Strawberry Fire Department.
