The search is on for another missing swimmer at Lake Mead.

It’s the third time since Sunday search and rescue crews have been dispatched to look for swimmers who disappeared in waters near the Arizona line.

Lake Mead Recreation Area spokeswoman Christie Vanover says a man went missing after he jumped into the water near Sandy Cove about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday. It’s not clear if he had a life jacket.

A 53-year-old Las Vegas man disappeared before noon on Sunday at Lake Mohave south of Willow Beach. Nearly three hours later, a 25-year-old Las Vegas man went missing near Lake Mead’s Boulder Islands.

Neither of those men was wearing a life jacket.

National Park rangers, state wildlife officials and Las Vegas police continued Wednesday to search for all three.

A body found in the Colorado River has been identified as a Phoenix man reported missing last month on a commercial rafting trip in Grand Canyon National Park.

Park officials announced Friday that the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the body was that of 68-year-old Victor Tseng.

The body was recovered July 4 about 25 miles from where Tseng reportedly fell into from a ledge into the river on June 17. Authorities say he wasn’t wearing a life jacket.

Park Service officials say search and rescue teams combed the area by air and boat for days but turned up no clues about Tseng’s whereabouts.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has identified the Scottsdale man who drowned at Saguaro Lake Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Martin Huber, 42, was attempting a forward flip as he jumped from a cliff near Sandy Beach, according to Deputy Joaquin Enriquez. The momentum of the flip caused him to over-rotate and land on his back instead of striking the water with his feet.

Huber briefly resurfaced then went under the water.

Witnesses said Huber did not call for help and did not appear to be in distress.

Witnesses attempted to locate and recover Huber, but they were unable to do so.

MCSO Lake Patrol divers responded to the scene and located Huber in approximately 8 feet of water. Enriquez said the current had carried Huber a short distance downstream from where he had initially entered the water.

No obvious signs of trauma were found. His body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for further investigation.

A 3-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being pulled from a West Phoenix pool.

Phoenix firefighters responded to the call at an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road around 4:30 p.m.

The girl was taken to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in very critical condition, according to Phoenix fire Capt. Tony Mure.

Mure said a mother watching her two young sons was also babysitting the 3-year-old girl and none of the children were good swimmers.

The children were sharing two sets of “water wings” and at some point a fourth child came into the pool area to play with the little girl who was her friend.

Mure said the woman assumed the girl next to her two boys was the child she was babysitting and that she only saw the backs of their heads, not their faces.

The fourth child realized this was not her friend next to her and told the babysitter.

When she went to look for the 3-year-old, the woman found her at the bottom of the pool and screamed for help.

Mure said two adults from separate groups jumped in and pulled the girl from the pool and began CPR until paramedics arrived.

It is unknown how long the girl had been under water.
