The child was found in the above ground pool by his parents, who are both CPR trained, and the parents revived their son, said Capt. Brian Keeley, a Northwest Fire District spokesman.
The boy was treated by paramedics after arriving shortly after 4 p.m. to the family’s house in the 5700 block of West Cortaro Crossing Drive, east of Interstate 10.
He was taken to a hospital and was listed in serious but stable condition, Keeley said.
