TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — A 1-year-old child was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being pulled from an apartment complex pool in Tempe Saturday.
Tempe Fire Department spokeswoman, Andrea Glass, says crews were called to an apartment complex near Rural Road and Baseline Road shortly after 5 p.m. and when crews arrived, they found the child was already out of the water. A bystander and a Tempe police officer were performing CPR on the child. Firefighters took the baby to a local hospital.
It’s unclear how the child got into the pool. The incident is under investigation.
