Phoenix fire crews responded to a drowning call midday Sunday that sent a 6-year-old boy to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said.
When crews arrived at the home on the 3800 block of North 58th Drive, a male bystander was giving the boy CPR. Crews started advanced life support before taking the boy to the hospital.
PHOENIX – Phoenix Fire Department responded to two separate near-drowning incidents in Phoenix on Sunday.
A 35-year-old man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after he experienced some type of incident while swimming with a friend. Fire crews responded to the home near 31st Avenue and Bell Road around 8:40 a.m. and say CPR was already in progress on the man.
There is no word yet on his current condition.

PHOENIX – Officials are on scene of a body recovery in South Phoenix.
Phoenix fire said they dispatched to the 16th Street and Baseline Road for a reported water rescue in a canal. A jogger running along the canal at 5:15 a.m. noticed the body and called 911.
When officials arrived on the scene they determined they had a body recovery.

MESA, AZ – A 2-year-old child is awake and breathing after venturing into the family pool without an adult.
The girl was swimming with siblings and mom in the pool Tuesday. All of them got out together, but at some point, the girl went back outside and got into the water alone, according to Forrest Smith, spokesman for Mesa Fire Department.

Dive teams found the body of a 16-year-old boy in Lake Pleasant early Tuesday morning after he reportedly went under water while swimming and did not resurface.
The incident began late Monday morning when a group of four teens in Coles Bay tried to swim out to an island about 200 yards away, according to Deputy Joaquin Enriquez, a sheriff’s spokesman.
One teen shouted that he was in trouble but some of the others thought he was joking until he disappeared under water and did not resurface, Enriquez said.
PHOENIX – A 4-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being pulled from a pool in West Phoenix Sunday afternoon.
Phoenix Fire Capt. Aaron Ernsberger said the girl was found at the bottom of a community pool near 75th Avenue and McDowell Road.

TUCSON- Tucson Fire Department medics have transported a two year old boy to the hospital after a near drowning on the southside.
It happened in the 100 block of West Calle Garcia, near Bilby Road and 6th Avenue just before 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The two-year-old suffered life threatening injuries after getting pulled out of a pool.

PEORIA, AZ – Maricopa County authorities are working to recover the body of a teen who went under the water at Lake Pleasant Monday and did not resurface.
Deputy Joaquin Enriquez said the 16-year-old boy was swimming with three friends when the incident happened.
The group was reportedly trying to swim from the shore to an island about 200 yards out in the area of Coles Bay.

PHOENIX – A teenage boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition after an incident at a Phoenix pool Thursday.
Phoenix Fire said the boy was rescued by a lifeguard at Cortez Pool around 3 p.m. near 35th and Dunlap avenues.

Damien Serrahn was so good-humored and fun that friends said they initially thought he was joking around.
The 16-year-old and his friends went Monday to Lake Pleasant to beat the heat. The group was in Coles Bay, a hard-to-reach area on the lake’s northern side, when they decided to swim out to an island about 200 yards away.
