PHOENIX — A man from Phoenix is suspected to have drowned at Bartlett Lake on Saturday, according to officials with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The dive team responded to Bartlett Lake for reports of a drowning.
Scottsdale Fire crews responded to a near drowning incident involving a 2-year-old female who was found in a residential pool. Upon arrival, the child was conscious and crying. Scottsdale paramedics provided immediate medical care on scene and are currently transporting the patient to a local hospital for further evaluation. No additional updates on her condition are available at this time.
Safety Message: This incident is a reminder of how quickly water-related accidents can happen, especially involving young children. Drowning is silent and can occur in seconds. Always maintain constant, direct supervision around pools and water. Officials say crews are working to recover the body of an adult from a canal in Phoenix on Tuesday morning.
Crews were first called to the scene around 7 a.m. to rescue a person in the water; however, when they arrived, the person was already beyond life-saving efforts and was pronounced dead.

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A 1-year-old boy is hospitalized after nearly drowning in a bathtub in Glendale early Thursday afternoon.
Rescue crews responded to an apartment on Keim Drive, near 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, shortly after 2 p.m. for the report that a young boy had been found unconscious in a bathtub.

SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. — A man has died after he was found unresponsive in a pool in the West Valley.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said the man was found in a pool at a recreation center located near Deer Valley Drive and Dusty Trail Boulevard at about 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
