PHOENIX — A woman was pronounced dead after being found in a backyard pool in Phoenix Friday night, according to officials with the Phoenix Fire Department.
The woman was found in a backyard pool near 40th Street and Baseline Road by a family member and was “beyond resuscitative efforts,” officials said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name and age have not been released.

Officials were called to a home in the area of 51st Avenue and Baseline after a child was found in the backyard pool.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area near Eagle Ridge Drive and Palisades Boulevard around 10 p.m. on Friday in reference to an injured person.

CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — An elderly woman drowned after she possibly experienced a medical emergency Monday morning in a pool in Chandler.
Firefighters responded to a call around 8 a.m. in regards to a possible drowning at a retirement community near West Queen Creek Road and Arizona Avenue.
