The teen, identified as 13-year-old Darryl Blackman, was in Phoenix for a football tournament when he went underwater at a hotel pool. Darryl died two days after he was pulled out of the pool.
PEORIA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) – Peoria Fire and Medical says they have already been dispatched to more drownings at Lake Pleasant this year than all of last year after a fourth person drowned yesterday.
“The point is that we’re only in May, and we have already exceeded the number that we had last season, and so it’s going to be a busy, busy year,” said Captain Mark Barbee with the Peoria Fire and Medical Department.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says none of the drowning victims wore life jackets.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said an 18-year-old was missing after “possibly drowning” near Sunset Ridge at Lake Pleasant on Sunday night.
Deputies responded to the area around 5 p.m. where they learned that an 18-year-old man was swimming, went under and didn’t resurface.

A 3-year-old baby boy is in extremely critical condition after nearly drowning at a home in north Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to reports of a drowning at a home near 52nd Street and Thunderbird Road around 3 p.m.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, family members were already doing CPR on the child when firefighters arrived at the scene.

Phoenix firefighters arrived at a home near 56th Street and Shea Boulevard around 11 a.m. where they found a four-and-a-half-year-old boy unresponsive after being in the water.

PHOENIX — A 3-year-old girl has died after being pulled from a pool in west Phoenix.
Firefighters responded to reports of a drowning in the area of 75th Avenue and Thomas Road on Friday afternoon, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived on the scene the girl was unconscious and not breathing, officials said.

PHOENIX — A 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he nearly drowned in a pool in north Phoenix Sunday.
The Phoenix Fire Department said the boy was found unresponsive in the pool at The Northern apartment complex on Black Canyon Highway.
Officials said bystanders already began CPR on the boy by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.

PHOENIX — A two-year-old boy has died after being found in a swimming pool in south Phoenix.
At about 11:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to a home on Vineyard Road, near 24th Street and Baseline Road.
When crews arrived they found the toddler unconscious and not breathing. Firefighters immediately started CPR and rushed him to a hospital in extremely critical condition.
