The boy, who was revived by family after they received CPR instructions by a dispatcher, was treated at the scene by Drexel Heights Fire District paramedics and taken to Banner-University Medical Center Tucson.
The child’s condition was not known, said Tracy Koslowski, a fire district spokeswoman.Shortly before 8 p.m., firefighters responded to the 5400 block of West Utah Street for the near-drowning. The boy, who was missing for about four minutes, was found floating in the above ground pool, Koslowski said.
The pool was green and murky because it was not maintained, and was going to be dismantled, said Koslowski. She said the pool access ladder was in place.
