BUCKEYE, Ariz — A baby is in the hospital after being pulled from the pond of a Buckeye home on Sunday.

The near-drowning happened in a neighborhood near Sun Valley Parkway and Tonopah Salome Highway, just north of I-10.

Police said the 1-year-old boy was found in the pond and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. He is in critical condition, according to police.

Firefighters say a young boy has died after falling into a backyard swimming pool at a Phoenix home on Wednesday evening.

Bystanders were performing CPR on the 3-year-old toddler when firefighters arrived at the house near 19th Avenue and Bell Road. Phoenix Fire Capt. Scott Douglas says the toddler was not breathing and didn’t have a heartbeat, and was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. On Thursday afternoon, Phoenix police say the boy died.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Officers at the Scottsdale Police Department confirmed Tuesday morning that they have found the remains of 20-year-old Najib “Jubi” Monsif.

The department tweeted out an update on their investigation stating that Jubi’s remains were found at a canal pump station near Power Road and Red Mountain Loop 202.

GLENDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) – Glendale fire says a toddler drowned after he was found in a pool on August 17. First responders were called out to a home near 59th Avenue and Mountain View Road around 6:15 p.m. When they got there, a family member was doing CPR on a 1-and-a-half-year-old boy. Crews took over CPR and he was taken to the hospital where he took a turn for the worse and passed away.

Aerial video shows there is a fence between the pool and the back door and fire officials said it’s unclear how the boy got into the water.
